Rheumatology Support for Every Career Level
Alexis Ogdie, MD, MSCE of the University of Pennsylvania has prospered with funding from the Rheumatology Research Foundation, having received support at every level of her career as a rheumatologist. Dr. Ogdie's passion for rheumatology research began with a preceptorship she received as a medical resident. Having utilized the time to familiarize herself with rheumtology clinics and rheumatology research, she applied for and was awarded an Investigator Award to launch her career as a fellow. Her career development funding was essential for her to continue her work as a rheumatologist.
Now, as an established investigator, Dr. Ogdie is using her Innovative Research Grant to tailor clinical trials to the unique needs of psoriatic arthritis patients for improved outcomes.
